摘要: Abstract Most research on economic geography focuses large geographic areas, such as nations and states. I use a information system firm-level dataset to explore agglomeration spillovers at the firm level over discrete distances. calculate distance between each firm-pair co-location, these calculations devise test of spillovers: is participation in Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program, which provides R&D grants small firms, function whether nearby firms win SBIR grants? find that number other within fraction mile predicts wins awards, even controlling for regional, firm, industry characteristics.
