摘要: Planetary ball mill is a versatile machine which has been used for grinding different types of materials size reduction and lately hemp decortication. PFC3D, software employing the discrete element method (DEM), was to simulate power energy requirement fibre using planetary mill. The simulation facilitated through series tests examine draw test results identified that speed had significant effect on data were calibrate parameters speeds. Using calibrated parameters, one able predict kinetic friction loss average value predicted, speeds 200 – 500 r/min, ranged between 0.01 0.07 J per ball. prediction showed frictional losses dispersed approximately 10% total Overall, PFC3Dimproved understanding about dynamics balls within as well available transfer in collisions material.
