摘要: Abstract In this study, sugarcane bagasse (SCB) pretreated with alkali assisted hydrodynamic cavitation (HC) was investigated for simultaneous saccharification and fermentation (SSF) process bioethanol production in interconnected column reactors using immobilized Scheffersomyces stipitis NRRL-Y7124. Initially, HC employed the evaluation of reagent used alkaline pretreatment. Alkalis (NaOH, KOH, Na2CO3, Ca(OH)2) NaOH recycled black liquor (successive batches) were their pretreatment effectiveness assessed considering solid composition its enzymatic digestibility. SSF NaOH-HC SCB, 62.33% total carbohydrate fractions hydrolyzed 17.26 g/L ethanol (0.48 g ethanol/g glucose xylose consumed) achieved. This proposed scheme HC-assisted together our showed to be an interesting new approach biorefineries.
