摘要: OBJECTIVES: To estimate the times from HIV seroconversion to death, and initiation of therapy mean CD4 cell count at initiation. DESIGN AND METHODS: Using Kaplan-Meier methods, allowing for late entry, we analysed CASCADE (Concerted Action on SeroConversion AIDS Death in Europe) data HIV-infected individuals with known dates seroconversion. We tested association time survival with: exposure category, age, sex, presentation during acute infection calendar year risk (as time-dependent) Cox proportional hazards models, stratifying by study. estimated using interval regression. RESULTS: Of 5893 seroconverters, 1613 (27.4%) died. The death was 65% lower (95% CI = 57-72%) 1997-99 compared previous years. Being earlier years, older age a short between negative positive test were associated shorter survival. At same seroconversion, people 1997-99, more likely initiate therapy. Injecting drug users (IDUs) less those exposed through sex men (RR 0.79, 95% 0.69-0.89). 205 cells/mL, which increased significantly over time. Although consistent longer period, found no evidence this other periods. CONCLUSIONS: significant substantial reduction trend antiretroviral (ART) period. IDUs their overall did not appear differ others. increasing tendency ART closer has unknown long-term consequences require monitoring.
