The alternate pathway of complement activation: The role of C3 and its inactivator (KAF)

摘要: The immunochemical depletion from serum of C3b inactivator (KAF) has been performed using purified F(ab′)2 antibody. In vitro KAF leads to spontaneous activation the `alternate pathway complement fixation' as evidenced by conversion glycine-rich β-glycoprotein, cobra venom factor—C3 proactivator and C3. The status system following in accurately mimics that found vivo unique KAF-deficient patient. The alternative whether or conventional activators is prevented C3. It therefore appears essentially a C3b-feedback which normally controlled activity KAF.
