摘要: It has been suggested that deep brain stimulation (DBS) is less effective in alleviating proximal than distal postural arm tremor reduction said to be essential (ET) Parkinson's disease (PD). We analyzed blinded rater's scores and subjects' disability ratings at 3-month follow-up examine the effects of DBS based on type (rest, kinetic, postural, postural) diagnosis (ET, PD). An independent examiner provided using randomized videotaped footage 19 ET 10 PD subjects baseline with "on." Subjects self-ratings follow-up. Comparisons were made Mann-Whitney U Wilcoxon rank sum W test; correlation analyses performed Spearman order test. There significant essentially equal improvements test, Only one subject had no improvement tremor. Tremor improved significantly same extent each position except "at rest," which was most (p = 0.0003). did not differ improvement. Improved correlated only scores; (r 0.41, p 0.03; r 0.47, 0.01). both PD. Resting, can reduced an degree. However, produces greatest association
