摘要: Our aim is to provide an overview of half-saturation constants reported in literature and explore their consistency with body size. In many ecological models, intake nutrients by plants consumption food animals considered be a hyperbolic function the nutrient concentration density, respectively. However, data on (or density) at which half maximum rate reached are scarce, limiting applicability computational models. The meta-analysis was conducted published worldwide. Most studies focused algae invertebrates, whereas some included fish, birds mammals. obtained were linked size using ordinary regression analysis. observed trends compared those noted reviews other density parameters. Half-saturation for different clades range within one or two orders magnitude. Although these inherently variable, exploring allometric relationships across taxa helps improve consistent parameterization
