摘要: Pregnant women are at increased risk for malaria infection. Although important advances have been made in the last years, mechanisms that explain susceptibility not yet fully understood. Malaria infection pregnancy is associated with maternal and fetal morbidity mortality. The severity of disease depends on level pre-pregnancy acquired immunity against malaria, consequences more severe non-immune women. In highly endemic areas, frequency higher primigravida decreases increasing parity. women, similar across parity may be an direct cause during has negative effects infant's health, causing intrauterine growth retardation prematurity or directly through congenital this paper, we review pathology, diagnosis, current recommendations treatment prevention pregnant woman her infant.
