摘要: We describe the construction of polymerase chain reaction primers designed to amplify a portion mitochondrial (mt) small subunit ribosomal (SSU) RNA-encoding genes in scleractinian corals. Combinations cloning and sequencing show that amplified fragments are between 694 896 bp length. Alignment DNA sequences published mt SSU rRNA Metridium senile Sarcophyton glaucum indicates several conserved regions among actiniarian, corallimorpharian, octocorallian, scleractinians, suggesting this primer set can successfully over 80% rDNA region Surveys sequence variation estimation rate evolution an extremely slow divergence gene family Acroporidae.
