摘要: The importance of cephalopods in marine ecosystems is well recognized as they serve important predators and prey many food chains. During a 1-year period, cuttlefish were monthly sampled five areas throughout the Sado estuary, stomachs 445 individuals examined. Significant changes diet according to their life stage revealed, but similar habits presented by males females. Juvenile (the smaller ones with no visible distinct gonads) preyed mainly upon small crustaceans, while immature (maturity stages I II) had most diverse brachyurans major group. mature III IV) showed clear preference for larger crabs fishes.
