摘要: Rodents are commonly used in food restriction refeeding studies to investigate weight regain. Mice that rationed every 24 h may consume all allocated a short time (gorge) and therefore undergo brief well-fed period followed by an extended fasted until the next day’s allotment. These exaggerated metabolic states not typical mice fed ad libitum (nibbling). The aim of current study was elucidate intraday cumulative consequences gorging (induced restriction) during controlled refeeding. Accordingly, following temporary restriction, were rations similar intakes controls libitum. Temporary initiated behavior persisted refeeding; consequently, metabolism-related measurements obtained their daily states. Robust differences adipose tissue lipogenic inflammatory gene expression found state (fed versus fasted). Additionally, despite reduced intake compared libitum, restriction-induced had increased intraabdominal fat accumulation, diminished hepatic peripheral insulin sensitivity, profile favoring lipid deposition. Our findings highlight before after feeding confound comparisons with or nibbling. present also provides evidence regain is associated behavioral abnormalities mice.
