Breastfeeding after assisted conception: a prospective cohort study.

摘要: Aim:  The aims were to investigate the prevalence of breastfeeding after conception with assisted reproductive technology (ART) and identify risk factors for duration <6 weeks cessation before baby is 8 months old. Methods:  A consecutive cohort women who had conceived at one two ART centres in Melbourne, Australia, was recruited early pregnancy. completed telephone interviews postal questionnaires pregnancy 3, 8 18 months birth. Results:  Of 239 eligible women, 183 (77%) agreed take part. Participants more likely than general population childbearing Australian initiate (89% vs 83.3%, p = 0.05) but by 3 months, a smaller proportion exclusively (46% 57.3%, p = 0.004). proportions not providing any breast milk 6 weeks 23% 57%, respectively. More anxiety late sub-optimal advice predicted 8 months. Conclusion:  predictors less favourable outcomes identified may be modifiable. Antenatal strategies reduce postnatal ensure consistent improve among give birth ART.
