摘要: The outcome of 123 patients with squamous cell carcinoma the oral/oropharyngeal mucosa treated by primary radical surgery and simultaneous neck dissection followed up for a maximum 5 years is reported related to pathological features tumour. Actuarial survival analysis showed overall 1-year probability was 84%, falling 69% at 2 years, 65% years. For without lymph node metastasis, corresponding probabilities were 95%, 86% 86%, respectively; 71%, 52% 44%, respectively. In all, 30 (24%) died their oral cancer; 16 (13%) local recurrence, 10 (8%) regional recurrence 4 (3%) systemic metastases. addition site stage tumour, histological pattern invasion, status resection margins and, number anatomical level positive nodes presence extent extracapsular spread. These are important indicators tumour behaviour should be incorporated into protocols assessment prognosis.
