摘要: Abstract We present M u ax , a general-purpose micromagnetic simulation tool running on graphical processing units (GPUs). is designed for high-performance computations and specifically targets large simulations. In that case speedups of over factor 100 × can be obtained compared to the CPU-based OOMMF program developed at NIST. aims general broadly applicable. It solves classical Landau–Lifshitz equation taking into account magnetostatic, exchange anisotropy interactions, thermal effects spin-transfer torque. Periodic boundary conditions optionally imposed. A spatial discretization using finite differences in two or three dimensions employed. publicly available as open-source software. thus freely used extended by community. Due its high computational performance, should open up possibility extensive simulations would nearly inaccessible with typical simulators.
