摘要: Aggressive biofilms, severe nosocomial infections incriminating various drug-resistant microorganisms, many times related to implants and medical instruments led numerous studies meant discover perfect powerful strategies, principally ensure their prevention efficient therapy. Natural molecules of vegetal origin, synthetic organic inorganic compounds, nanoparticles, hybrid structures are intensely reviewed as the prospects challenging. The scientific communities understood that often, ecological precepts involving natural products could be applied in drug also material designs due undeniable advantages such a lower toxicity versatility undeniably wider applicability compared standard chemical treatments. Modulation quorum sensing (QS) therapeutic target has emerged following imperative need novel treatment methods against biofilm-embedded pathogens. In this field, outstanding results have been registered, but use QS inhibitors clinical practice is still challenge. Many types compounds used pure solutions or after modifications infections. Inorganic anti-infectious agents, major advantage better plasticity they usually more stable than bioactive substances. Nanomaterials proved impressive offered innovative perspectives improve antimicrobial therapy prophylactic approaches.
