Surface carboxylation of PEEK film by selective wet-chemistry

摘要: Surface carboxylated PEEK films were obtained from a common key-intermediate, the PEEK-OH film, resulting surface reduction of amorphous film. Substitution hydroxyl groups, under mild acidic conditions, with 4-aminobenzoic acid and succinamic gave PEEK-Ph-CO2H PEEK-(CH2)(2)-CO2H in 38% 70% yields, respectively. The sample surfaces analysed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. reactivity was assayed activation WSC, SOCl2 or CDI, followed coupling to H-3-lysine liquid scintillation counting radioactivity associated samples.
