摘要: This commentary explores the utility of hope as a therapeutic tool for intervention in case patient with mental illness that is refractory to treatment over time, who expresses her intention commit suicide. It begins short discussion differentiating deliberative consideration suicide from an impulsive act. Then defines hope, how it might be used tool, and which limitations clinician confront such case. also considers role physician orientation not only but own thoughts, feelings, emotions regarding patient's expressed desire end life.
