Influence of the Bio-Based Epoxy Prepolymer Structure on Network Properties

摘要: Three different bio-based epoxy prepolymers are studied: one that is synthesized from isosorbide and two commercial derived sorbitol cardanol. The chemical structures analyzed by SEC, ESI-TOF MS, FTIR analyses. exhibit structures, either aromatic with long aliphatic chains for the prepolymer cardanol (DGECAR), high functionality polyglycidyl ether (SPGE) or a short cyclic structure (DGEDAS(0)). A traditional petroleum-based prepolymer, diglycidyl of bisphenol (DGEBA) also used comparison. Gelation reactivity precursors an isophorone diamine hardener studied using rheological measurements differential scanning calorimetry. Glass transition temperatures networks evaluated thermal stability thermo-gravimetric analysis.
