摘要: Non-motile primary cilium is an antenna-like structure whose defect associated with a wide range of pathologies, including developmental disorders and cancer. Although mechanisms regulating cilia assembly have been extensively studied, how disassembly regulated remains poorly understood. Here, we report unexpected roles Dishevelled 2 (Dvl2) interphase polo-like kinase 1 (Plk1) in disassembly. We demonstrated that Dvl2 phosphorylated at S143 T224 manner requires both non-canonical Wnt5a ligand casein epsilon (CK1ɛ), this event critical to interact Plk1 early stages the cell cycle. The resulting Dvl2-Plk1 complex mediated Wnt5a-CK1ɛ-Dvl2-dependent by stabilizing HEF1 scaffold activating its Aurora-A (AurA), crucially required for Thus, via formation complex, plays unanticipated role linking Wnt5a-induced biochemical steps HEF1/AurA-dependent This study may provide new insights into mechanism underlying ciliary processes various cilia-related disorders.
