摘要: Gadolinium vanadate (GdV04) is a tetragonal paramagnet which enters an anti- ferromagneticphase below TN = 2.4955(5) K, with asimple two-sublatticestructurein the Gd3* spins are aligned parallel to axis. We have studied 51V (I 4) nuclear magnetic resonance between T 0.48 K and 1.9 K; in zero applied field seven quadrupole split lines width of 0.8 mT very intense. The central line lies at frequency nearly 12.9 MHz lowest temperature, falling -10.0 can be measured 2 kHz. fitted formula V/UO 1 - 0.2759(T/T~)' 0.1908(T/T~)~. . vo 13.03(3) this assumed represent temperature dependence sublattice magnetisation for < K. Mossbauer measurements Cook Cashion agree closely our results extend Ntel point. A comparison made variation as determined by technique Hornreich Shtrikman from susceptibility et a/; agreement found excellent.
