摘要: Nine men and one woman with brain metastases from nonseminomatous germ cell tumors have been treated between 1977 1984. All the had lung metastases. patients elevated serum values of human chorionic gonadotrophin (HCG), level was greater than 40,000 IU/I in seven. They were sequential combination chemotherapy either POMB/ACE or EP/OMB which methotrexate given at a dose 1 g/m2 intrathecal during courses not containing intravenous methotrexate. Eight ten are alive, off treatment no evidence active disease, whom five remission for more 18 months. Two primary intracranial similar fashion. One patient died enlargement differentiated teratoma; other is alive 9+ months disease. These results, better any previously reported, indicate that preferred metastatic only rarely will these benefit surgery radiotherapy.
