摘要: Abstract A Windows-based application software called EpiXS (available at https://www.pnri.dost.gov.ph/index.php/downloads/software/epixs ) was constructed for photon attenuation, dosimetry and shielding, is based on EPICS2017 of ENDF/B-VIII EPDL97 ENDF/B-VI.8. The performs data library interpolation between 1 keV 100 GeV calculates partial or total cross sections (σ), mass attenuation coefficients (μ/ρ), linear (μ), mean free paths (mfp), half-value layers (hvl), effective atomic numbers (Zeff), electron densities (Neff), the auxiliary parameters buildup factors energy absorption (EABF) exposure (EBF) via Geometric-Progression, any user-defined material. It has a user-friendly design quick interactive graphing tabulations. Data generated by were compared with published results from literature as well XCOM other programs XCOM/NIST libraries. comparisons mostly found to agree well, nonetheless deviations observed may highlight values latest EPICS2017. introduced new tool instant calculations involving ionizing radiation shielding.
