摘要: Chinese hamster cells (V79) resistant to high concentrations of Cd2+ in the medium were obtained by using procedure Beach & Palmiter [(1981) Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. U.S.A. 78, 2110-2114], which mouse led amplification metallothionein (MT) genes and an enrichment cellular MT. The Cd-resistant V79 clones isolated significantly more than parental oxidative stress extracellular H2O2 or a mixture superoxide anion (O2-) generated xanthine oxidase plus acetaldehyde. On per-cell basis, there was no difference between two their total H2O2-decomposing O2-(-)dismutating activity. most likely explanation is that MT content responsible for this effect, because antioxidant properties already described protein.
