摘要: The Preparing Academically Successful Students in Maternal and Child Health (MCH PASS) training program provided financial support specialized to occupational therapy (OT) speech-language pathology (SLP) undergraduate students from underrepresented groups maternal child health. project assisted trainees matriculate into graduate programs their respective fields facilitated application long-term health programs. Sixteen (8 OT 8 SLP) participated an with emphasis on interdisciplinary teaming, family mentoring, leadership development, public population-based research. Instruction occurred community classroom settings through didactic instruction small group discussions. Fifteen of the applied were accepted fields. Two a MCH program. reported increased knowledge about that serve women children, effects poverty health, teaming daily routines families who have special care need. PASS unique opportunity for SLP learn preparation enabled understand better concerns underserved whose children needs.
