摘要: The pH of a mobile phase is one the most important parameters affecting retention ionic analytes in reversed high-performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC). RP-HPLC and hydrophilic interaction (HILIC) can be used as convenient tool for analysis ionizable analytes. analyte contains or more acidic basic functional groups its molecular structure. Acidic compounds lose proton increases, whereas bases gain decreases chromatographic retention, presence dissociated group(s) analytes' hydrophobicity that leads to lower form than nondissociated an analyte. chapter discusses effect on Isocratic organic modifier gradients, gradient, normal-phase mode.
