摘要: Introduction Women generally report more work-related musculoskeletal complaints than men and have higher rates of sickness absence, even within occupations. One likely reason is that work tasks the occupation are gendered, is, women different tasks, when sharing same job title. Retail an appealing sector for studying working conditions environment in a gender context. The prevalence high, physical loads may differ considerably between distribution gendered. overall aim this study retail to examine factors at organisational individual level may, perspective, explain conditions, workloads health. Methods analyses Data will be collected two grocery stores, each with 50–70 workers, occasions interspersed by about 1 year. In these four waves, data collection include web-based questionnaire all workers addressing, example, psychosocial factors, fatigue pain; semistructured interviews managers approximately 10 competences decision levels; technical measurements postures, movements heart rate 30 workers. novel combining perspective addressed through qualitative methods quantitative analysis workload design allows examination both how genders differ, why they as well extent which gendered change over time participating stores. Ethics dissemination Approval Swedish Ethical Review Authority (reference number 2017/404) has been obtained. This disseminated publication peer-reviewed papers scientific journals, presentations conferences meetings representatives from retail, including unions employers’ organisations.
