摘要: Atrial fibrillation (AF) and atrial flutter (AFL) are common cardiac arrhythmias in older adults. Medical management focuses on rate rhythm control of AF AFL to promote symptomatic relief avoid tachycardia-mediated cardiomyopathy. Pharmacologic treatment is especially challenging the elderly because presence comorbidities that may affect drug kinetics, polypharmacy, which lead interactions. The potential for complications from medications procedures required achieve maintain sinus must be carefully balanced against benefits therapy.
