Colour image segmentation using the relative values of RGB

摘要: In this paper, we propose a novel colour segmentation algorithm based on the derived inherent properties of RGB space. The proposed operates directly space without need transformation and it is very robust to various illumination conditions. Furthermore, our approach has benefits being insensitive rotation, scaling, translation. addition, system can be applied different applications, for example, fruits (vegetables) quality control by merely changing values parameters (α, β1, β2, γ1, γ2). Experimental results demonstrate feasibility in segmentation.
