Fast codevector search scheme for 3D mesh model vector quantisation

摘要: A new fast approach to the nearest codevector search for 3D mesh compression using an orthonormal transformed codebook is proposed. The algorithm uses coefficients of input vector along a set bases as criteria reject impossible codevectors. Compared full algorithm, great deal computational time saved without extra distortion and additional storage requirement. Simulation results demonstrate effectiveness proposed in terms complexity.
