摘要: Abstract Choroidal rupture is a posterior segment affliction following traumatic event that results in break the retinal pigment epithelium, Bruch membrane, and underlying choriocapillaris. The visual prognosis may be extremely poor when involving macular area or cases with major comorbidities. On funduscopic examination appears as whitish/yellowish curvilinear crescent-shaped lesion forked tapered endings. Multimodal imaging including fluorescein angiography, indocyanine green optical coherence tomography, tomography angiography can provide detailed assessment of extent damage onset complications. Although there no treatment for choroidal per se, associated complications such angle-recession glaucoma, detachment, exudative neovascularization might need therapeutic interventions. We describe pathophysiology rupture, recent multimodal findings, available options management
