摘要: Two E. coli heat shock proteins, DnaK (the hsp70 homolog) and DnaJ activate the specific DNA binding function of replication initiator protein, RepA, plasmid P1 by about 100-fold (Wickner et al., 1991). The activation is ATP-dependent DNA-independent. mechanism conversion RepA dimers to monomers monomer form binds with high affinity origin DNA. Treatment reversible chemical denaturants also converts simultaneously activates binding. Increasing protein concentration deactivates RepA.
