摘要: Although TaiI-family sequences are present in the subtelomeric region of Leymus racemosus, it became apparent study that such also centromeric common wheat (Triticum aestivum). These hybridized to all chromosomes with various degrees signal strength. FISH using TaiI and Ty3/gypsy, a conservative sequence cereal centromeres, revealed complicated arrangement both at once. Unlike Arabidopsis centromeres characterized by massive tandem arrays 180-bp family flanking paracentromeric retrotransposons chromosomes, showed patterns Ty3/gypsy depending on chromosome; were scattered many as isolated colonies instead forming uninterrupted solid arrays. This pattern may have resulted from retrotransposon insertion within pre-existing TaiI-tandem or two-step amplification mechanism where each colony was amplified form independently after along entire centromere. analysis repeats L. racemosus variable regions between two repeats, they did not show distinctive difference phylogenically. The widespread presence repetitive eucaryotic centromere suggests significant role for them formation.
