摘要: A neglected class of sexual assault victims consists women who were molested as children. In response to their unmet needs, therapy groups composed solely sexually abused in childhood have been established. The goals these are twofold: (1) the alleviation guilt and shame (2) clarification emotional behavioral consequences molestation. Ten conducted, each containing four six members, comprising an overall total 50 women. 97% cases, a prior relationship had existed between perpetrator victim. Treatment consisted four-session format. During session I, group participant described her molestation experiences detail. Sessions II III focused on how affected Session IV dealt with individual stages recovery further treatment plans. Clinical findings included feelings depression, negative self-image, problems interpersonal relationships associated underlying mistrust men, inadequate social skills, difficulties functioning. Evaluations by participants indicated that primary curative component was sense identification closeness instilled warm supportive environment where common bond shared.
