摘要: Medicinal plants are a source of naturally active compounds used extensively by tribal people worldwide for many ailments. Withania somnifera(WS) is one such plant to treat ailments from the time Ayurveda. The dried roots somnifera widely in treatment disorders, current investigation aimed at extraction and detection or screening phytochemical different extracts root. From chemistry point view, drug contains group biologically constituents known as withanolides. chemical structures withanolides have been studied they distributed family Solanacae. Phytochemical extractions revealed presence phenols, flavonoids, tannins, saponins, alkaloids, steroids, terpenoids, glycosides  which could account its varied medicinal properties like anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, anti-analgesic. root samples somniferaare examine anti-bacterial activity against some pathogenic bacteria Escherichia coli Bacillus subtilis. powder extract was done with Chloroform, methanol petroleum ether. Petroleum ether showed minimum followed aqueous, chloroform methanolic extract.  In present study, free radical scavenging potential three assessed measuring capability 2, 2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH). Our study demonstrated that level antioxidant antioxidants thus prevent related diseases. withaferin A (active component somnifera), steroid lactone examined analgesic anti-inflammatory employing experimental models mice. evaluate methanolic, choloroform . using Eddy’s Hot Plate method swiss albino mice Carrageenan-Induced Paw Edema applied.
