摘要: The small mammal community in 21 localities of north-western Spain was evaluated the light land use composition. two geomorphologic categories characterising study area, main (arable/pastoral) and crop types each sampling locality were used as potential predictors relative abundance five common species. Common vole, Microtus arvalis showed a weak relationship with uses, probably due to recent colonisation process this species experienced area. Algerian mouse, Mus spretus Lusitanian pine lusitanicus best explained by models built at broadest regional scale, former being more abundant eastern latter western Greater white-toothed shrew, Crocidura russula positive grassland coverage, whilst Wood Apodemus sylvaticus benefited from increasing proportions fallow lands within landscape. These are then expected respond positively those agri-environmental schemes including increase fallows grassy vegetation arable landscape (EU recommendations). However, further efforts needed predict, least qualitatively, response other changing farmed This is especially true for endemic occurring area: Cabrera cabrerae which kind information almost absent.
