摘要: Abstract The aim of the present study is to investigate effect ternary blends n-butanol-spirulina microalgae biodiesel and diesel fuel on compression ignition engine characteristics. Investigation was performed comparing n-butanol blended with spirulina (MSB), low sulphur pure at different loads. MSB (40, 30 20%) – n butanol (10, 20 30%) were 50% in volume basis as B1 (LSD50-MSB40-nB10), B2 (LSD50-MSB30-nB20) B3 (LSD50-MSB20-nB30). comparison made diesel, fuels which shows a reduction exhaust gas temperature, Bosch smoke number (BSN), brake specific particulate matter (BSPM) emission while showing higher consumption (SFC), carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxides emissions. B20 blend led slight BTE (0.75%), NOX (12.58%), BSN (8.95%), BSPM (31.88%) increasing SFC compared fuel. With addition - blends, thermal efficiency (BTE) has significantly improved during heat release rate cylinder pressure emissions all loads for B1, blends.
