Research outcomes therefore not be easily transferable between countries. To examine this, a cross-national comparison of UK (West Midlands: WM) Dutch (Middle Netherlands: MN) counselees breast cancer genetic counselling was conducted. Two hundred thirty-eight WM 156 MN proband were compared on demographics, history referral pathways. Multivariate logistic regression analyses performed to check whether national differences knowledge heredity, risk perception, worry information needs persisted when corrected for the background characteristics. About half 8% affected by cancer. More than at high hereditary had higher perceptions more about prevalence, but these lost significance counselees' levels other might report explained Comparisons findings Netherlands show that seems have percentage high-risk referrals seem perceptions. Irrespective actual level, worried. Comparing raises questions how research are one culture another.
