摘要: Abstract This paper describes Cretaceous mammal-like tracks from southern Tunisia. The tracks, referred to the Cenomanian Kerker Member of Zebbag Formation, are first footprints reported North Africa. good preservation two and their distinctive morphology support attribution a mammalian trackmaker, although limited available data prevents specific ichnotaxon. Morphologically, Tunisian resemble those modern Mustelidae, however, based on faunas in Africa, they probably have affinity with members Multituberculate family. Theropod dinosaur bird occur same track-bearing layer. sediments interpreted as an arid tidal flat environment, suggesting that African mammals might shared environment diverse fauna larger animals.
