Treatment of vocal fold scar by carbon dioxide laser and collagen injection: retrospective study on 12 patients

摘要: Vocal fold scars are the result of injury to vocal lamina propria. This condition leads an impaired vibration and usually poor voice quality. The purpose our study was compare pre- posttreatment assessment scores in patients treated by CO(2) laser-assisted freeing scar followed collagen injection. A group 12 (10 women 2 men) with studied retrospectively. Voice based on stroboscopy perceptual using Grade (G) GRABS scale, subjective evaluation use Handicap Index (VHI), aerodynamic measurements [maximum phonation time (MPT) quotient (PQ)], acoustical (frequency range low intensity). Stroboscopy showed improvement mucosal wave glottic competence. mean VHI improved from 63.16 45.5; G 1.41; MPT 7.05 8.62 s; PQ 463.02 358.54 ml/s. laser injection, combined speech therapy, significantly parameters (efficiency voice), but not scores.
