摘要: Cable Yarding Technology has a long tradition in the Central European Alps. Outside Europe, sledge yarder technology became well known during 1960's while first tower yarders were introduced 1970s. Although there been much effort to improve yarding technology, only little is about it outside Europe. The paper aims present state-of-the-art of both, and technical production systems, identify future challenges. introduction fluid power was an important step build compact with beneficial weight- performance relationship. Processor Tower Yarders PTY represent state technology; they integrate drums, steel spar, supply, boom, processor head on one carrier. An automatic control device for carriage movement stop, together radio-control made possible operate system crew two persons. In thinning operations, mechanization tree processing results cost savings 40% CTL-system steep slope harvester, FT-system yarder. Future improvements will focus reliability components, optimization harvesting design work force development by using simulators training.
