摘要: Although rare, coronary artery stent infections are associated with a high mortality rate. Since the introduction of stents in 1987, only 16 cases infection have been reported. We report new case 66-year-old woman who had undergone difficult percutaneous intervention procedure, during which 3 overlapping were implanted mid portion right artery. Twenty-two days after patient died. Autopsy revealed cause death to be pericardial tamponade due rupture ventricular myocardium. The stented was enveloped by an abscess, and purulent material completely occluded stents. Cultures myocardium positive for methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. conducted review literature on infections. Data suggest that early-onset (<10 implantation) potentially amenable medical therapy alone, but late-onset (≥10 or major complications necessitate combined surgical therapy. Medical consists broad-spectrum antibiotics. Surgical includes removal if possible, abscess drainage perforation repair when indicated.
