摘要: Relationships between BREEDPLAN estimated breeding values (EBVs) for 600-day weight, maternal effect on calf weaning weight (Milk), fat depth at P8 site (Rump), 12/13th rib (Rib), eye muscle area (EMA), and intramuscular (IMF) with body composition measures in first- second-parity Angus Hereford cows were investigated. More than 4000 1000 measured height, ultrasound (P8), (RIB), loin EMA IMF (%) pre-calving weaning. The measurements then regressed against mid-parent EBVs. Increased EBV was associated increased height but decreased depths when considered a weight-constant basis. EBVs Rump, Rib, closely related to the equivalent measure first two parities. These results indicate that current carcass are cow composition, so if producers want change of their cows, they can do using existing EBVs, there appears no requirement additional describe body-composition traits subcutaneous fat, IMF.
