摘要: Twenty-two isolates were obtained that produced bioemulsifiers or biopolymers when grown in a sucrose, 5% NaCl mineral salts medium at 50 C. Biopolymers aerobically and anaerobically. Bacillus licheniformis, strain JF-2 cultures had the lowest surface tensions of eleven bioemulsifer-producing tested. Growth was not affected by concentrations up to 10%, pH values 4.6 9.0, temperatures C presence crude oil. The surfactant pH, temperature, calcium found many oil reservoirs. These properties indicate has suitable for enhanced recovery processes. success situ microbial plugging process depends on ability transport microbes throughout reservoir, nutrients required growth, selectively reduce apparent permeability reservoir as result growth metabolism. Nutrients such glucose, ammonia, nitrogen phosphate transported through Berea sandstone cores amounts sufficient support growth. Viable bacterial cells brine solution with permeabilities low 196 md. Continuous nutrientmore » injection resulted almost complete blockage fluid flow while batch addition reductions 60 80% initial value. Indigenous populations accounted 70% these reductions. Effluent received large numbers viable indicating may be mechanism rock. Electron microscopy indicates bacteria involve aggregation clays other insoluble materials biomass. 45 references, 16 figures, 7 tables.« less
