摘要: Patterns of sexual size dimorphism and body in calanoid copepods are examined. We hypothesize that favorable conditions for development will result large high among populations a given species differences this allometric relationship is governed by the male's role insemination. confirm there greater advantage to female size, normally larger sex, when compared males, hence leading selection developmental patterns favoring dimorphism. Individuals from four centropagid copepod were measured; other sizes obtained published sources. In we examined, relationships between prosome length both clutch ability produce multiple clutches with one insemination determined. Results show trend toward hyperallometry all examined: increases increasing size. Large females more additional on That not observed diaptomid may male plays reproduction. Males needed each produced, selective pressure be than centropagidae.
