摘要: This study provides the discovery and validation of intervertebral disc degeneration (IDD) specific mRNA transcriptome profiles generated by NGS. We identified that insulin-like growth factor binding protein 5 (IGFBP5) was downregulated in human degenerative nucleus pulposus tissues its level associated with grade. In addition, inhibitory effects IGFBP5 are, part, mediated through ERK signaling pathway. Using vivo vitro studies, functional characterization role revealed loss expression is an event IDD pathogenesis. Therefore, strategies to maintain or prevent repression have potential become a possible therapeutic and/or preventive approach for disease.
