摘要: Is the nephritogenic antigen in post-streptococcal glomerulonephritis pyrogenic exotoxin B (SPE B) or GAPDH? Background Acute can follow infection by group A streptococci. An immune-complex pathogenesis is accepted, but causative antigen(s) still controversial. In recent years, 2 streptococcal antigens, cationic cysteine proteinase and plasmin receptor, a glyceraldehyde phosphate dehydrogenase (Plr, GAPDH) have attracted attention because: ( 1 ) they were localized glomeruli patients with acute (APSGN); serum antibody to these antigens was associated infections. To date, putative nephritogens always tested independently. Here, relevance of SPE GAPDH evaluated same renal biopsies samples well-defined APSGN patients. Methods Renal (17 patients) (53 appropriate controls examined. Immunofluorescent staining frozen sections performed using specific antibodies GAPDH. Serum investigated both enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) Western blot methodology. Results Glomerular deposits demonstrated 12/17 biopsies, cases borderline; circulating found all instances (53/53 patients). deposition detected 1/17 5/47 31 control only weak for each cases. Conclusion this study, glomerular response zymogen/SPE are more consistently present than Zymogen/SPE likely be major involved most APSGN.
