摘要: This paper addresses the design of sigma-delta modulators with arbitrary signal and noise transfer functions using a genetic algorithm (GA)-based search method. The objective function is defined to include difference D between magnitude frequency responses designed ideal one, quantizer gain lambdacritical for which poles modulator start moving out unit circle, spread coefficients S. Stability can be improved by reducing while smaller S reduces implementation complexity. A GA searches poles/zeros minimize D+w1*lambdacritical+w2*S, where w1 w2 are two weighing factors. Numerical results demonstrate effectiveness proposed method
