摘要: The Upper Cretaceous (Campanian - Maastrichtian) units of Zagros fold-thrust belt were studied in four different regions (east khamir, west Namak and Namak) Hormozgan Province, Iran. Four cross-sections constructed using well outcrop data illustrate facies thickness variations within the Cretaceous. Sedimentary environment basin changes through time depositionofthese successions studied. Based on microfacies by comparing outcrops wells, two depositional systems can be recognized succession study area: intrashelf pelagic-hemipelagic basin. Sediments deposited are dominated thick to massive bedded limestone, Loftusia-bearing Packstone Grainastone index species Loftusia give age upper Maastrichtian. Pelagic Sedimentsfacies consist mainly thin medium sized layers gray marl marlstone wackestone packstones with abundant pelagic foraminifera. Index Globotruncanagive this sediment from Lower Companion Rapid inthickness, Sequence stratigraphy document evolution processes foreland In area, is characterized a considerable SW NE increase stratigraphic thickness. depocenter related maximum development during period was located as indicated facies.
