摘要: Flaviviruses were classified as members of the togavirus family until 1984, when International Committee for Nomenclature Viruses voted to make Flaviviridae a separate (Westaway et al., 1986). The had originally been defined using morphological criteria. change in classification was result recent research that clearly demonstrated flaviviruses, although generally similar alphaviruses their morphology, differ markedly from alpha togaviruses virion structure, strategy replication, and morphogenesis.
