摘要: Oriented calcium oxalate crystals have been grown beneath phospholipid monolayers at the air-solution interface from supersaturated solutions. Mature zwitterionic dipalmitoylphosphatidylcholine (DPPC) exhibit characteristic morphology of monohydrate (COM) with elongated (101) crystal face preferentially oriented parallel to plane monolayer. Calcium negatively-charged dimyristoylphosphatidylserine (DMPS) also show a preferential orientation respect monolayer; they do not, however, COM morphology. Raman spectroscopy strongly suggests that either DPPC or DMPS are phase oxalate; therefore, differences in not due crystalline phase. Dimyristoylphosphatidylethanolamine (DMPE), dimyristoylphosphatidic acid (DMPA), eicosanoic (C20), and eicosanol (C20-OH) studied help elucidate mechanisms interaction between lipid crystals.
